24 Rotary Melbourne Members and friends staffed a drinks station at the Melbourne Marathon on 10 October 26, from 6:00 to 10:30am and we provided water to runners doing 10k, 5k and 3k runs raising funds for The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program. Our sincere thanks to Jim Orchard for organising the opportunity.
In addition to RCM members we had a contingent from Corporate Member Morgan Stanley as well as some folks who volunteered via the club website.
Across this events there were over 25,000 runners.

Sunday 11 October 26
34 Rotary Melbourne Members and a group from Melbourne university's Queens College as well as volunteers from the Melbourne Uni Rotaract club staffed a drinks station at the Melbourne Marathon also on 11 October 26, raising funds for The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.
Across this events there were over 35,000 runners doing a full and a half marathon.
Rotary Melbourne should raise almost $4000 this weekend which will form part of our support for The Smith Family's Learning for Life program
Saturday & Sundays weather was perfect - not too much wind and a pleasant temperature for both the runners and our drink station volunteers
