Mary, Sana, Anthony and Deb attended the WEHI's 2025 Art of Science exhibition on 11 September 2025 on behalf of the Rotary Melbourne.  Our relationship with WEHI involves our participation with Malaria research and the donation of funds for equipment in the laboratory.

Professor Ken Smith, WEHI Director, invited Rotary Melbourne to an evening where science meets art.
The annual cocktail event was an enjoyable evening to showcase 16 striking images from the frontlines of medical research. The evening provided an opportunity to meet the passionate scientists behind the work and hear how their research is helping solve today’s biggest health challenges – powered by cutting-edge technology.
This year marks the 28th Anniversary of the Art of Science, an exhibition that began as an annual staff competition in 1997.  It has now evolved into an exhibition showcasing the groundbreaking research conducted by the scientists at WEHI exhibited as still and moving images reflecting research in the areas of infectious diseases, structural biology, inflammation, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.  The images for this year and previous years can be viewed here.
An opportunity to vote for the People's Choice Award resulted in the exhibit entitled "Jellyfish Swarm" being voted as the most popular.
An enjoyable evening was had by all.  Stay tuned for next year's Exhibition.
