A number of Rotary Melbourne members attended the 0808@0800 service at the Shrine on Tuesday 8 August 23. The service commemorated the 105th Anniversary of the Australian Victory at the Battle of Amiens, 8 August 1918 by the Australian Army Corps led by Sir John Monash, Lieutenant-General, Commander. Australian Corps.
On Monday 7 August 23, our Make A House a Home project (MAHAH) delivered 15 sets (30 tea-chest boxes) of new homeware to Launch Housing’s front line offices in Dandenong and St Kilda.

At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on 28 June 23 we witnessed the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow 3 Sapphire Award to Amanda Wendt. We congratulate Amanda on her year as District Governor and thank her and the 2022/23 leadership team for inspiring our district with unlimited enthusiasm, and demonstrating commitment to Service Above Self.
The Forth Bridge Award for 2022-23, is well-deserved by Mary Barry. Mary's award was for her contribution to the Rotary International Convention as Chair of the Host Organising Committee. Congratulations Mary.

Rotary Melbourne Club’s Past President Dr Peter Rogers was one of the first students who attended Monash University’s campus in 1961 when its buildings were surrounded by paddocks. An article appeared recently in the North West City News on Peter.

At the Rotary Melburne meeting on 7 June 23 we witnessed the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow Award to Robert McGuirk in recognition of Robert’s dedicated efforts over several years to deliver the Peace Bells to be installed in the Rotary Melbourne Peace Park and the End Trachoma Project. Congratulations Robert.
Volunteers from across Melbourne - with supervision from Rotary Melbourne club members - on Saturday 27 May 23 had hands on experience in this incredible Rotary project, packing over 100,000 meals for emergency relief around the world, including Ukraine

The 17th ITFR World Championships were held at Melbourne Park over 4 days immediately prior to the Rotary International Convention.
