Lift the Lid on Mental Illness is Australian Rotary Health’s National annual fundraising day for mental health research. Rotary Melbourne celebrated Lift the Lid on Mental Illness by hosting a Hat Day event on 6 October for Mental Health Month in October.

Ed Tudor, Executive Director of MITS (Melbourne Indigenous Transition School) has shared their latest newsletter here. This year we have seen exceptionally strong academic growth from our students, testament to their strength and resilience. This is made possible by their own commitment, but also that of our staff, many of whom completed another 14 days in Howard Springs with the students at the end of Term 3.
Our guest speakers last week were Betty Kitchener AM and Prof. Tony Jorm. Betty trained as a teacher and worked in special education before developing a career in psychology, counselling and nursing. Tony is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Melbourne and NHMRC Leadership Fellow.
