It is with great sadness that Rotary Melbourne advises the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Tony Kosky. Tony passed away on Friday 4 August. President Chris provided this announcement at last week's meeting on 9 August 23.
Nominations for the Rotary Melbourne Vocational Service Award are now open and members are invited to submit names of qualified community leaders who have demonstrated distinguished Vocational Service by 30 August 2023.

The date of the Rotary Club of Melbourne Inc Annual General Meeting has now been fixed as Wednesday 22 November 2023. The setting of the date of the Annual General meeting triggers a series of events starting with the forming of the Nominating Committee.
At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on Wednesday 9 August the Guest Speaker was Mr Richard L. Elkington OAM, 2023 Monash Medal recipient, for leadership integrity and service in his outstanding contribution through his promoting the Gippsland and Latrobe Valley region.

A number of Rotary Melbourne members attended the 0808@0800 service at the Shrine on Tuesday 8 August 23. The service commemorated the 105th Anniversary of the Australian Victory at the Battle of Amiens, 8 August 1918 by the Australian Army Corps led by Sir John Monash, Lieutenant-General, Commander. Australian Corps.

On Monday 7 August 23 members of the Rotary Melbourne Make A House A Home (MAHAH) attended the Launch Housing release of their Capital Cities Homelessness Index 2023 during National Homelessness Week.

On Monday 7 August 23, our Make A House a Home project (MAHAH) delivered 15 sets (30 tea-chest boxes) of new homeware to Launch Housing’s front line offices in Dandenong and St Kilda.
MITS (Melbourne Indigenous Transition School) has shared their latest newsletter here. Edward Tudor, Executive Director noted that it's been a momentous few weeks at MITS, with their newest boarding house at 371 Church Street now open. The girls moved in at the start of Term 3 and are already benefitting from this beautiful home-away-from-home.

In 2018, Robert established his own Financial Planning Practice, and which continues to grow nationally with the mission of making financial advice accessible to everyone.
The End Hepatitis Now team at Rotary Melbourne have just received a video from our partner LiverWELL. The team believes that this Rap communication will be an important item of collateral for the campaign to bring the hepatitis message to young people at Interact clubs. Melbourne Rotary welcomed and inducted Manoel Felipe Marques into the Club on 2 August 2023, with the classification Marketing & Communications. He began his involvement with the Rotary Club of Cruzeiro in 2018, dedicating himself to promoting the polio eradication campaign in the city through event organisation and dissemination of information.
