Rotary Melbourne's evening meeting was our second hybrid format held at the Lyceum Club on 8 June. Barbara Read, the beloved wife of our member Robert passed away on 15 June after battling cancer. Robert said she was well treated for her pain but had deteriorated over the last couple of weeks. Rotary Melbourne extends our condolences to Robert and the family. Funderal details will be notifed when known.
In late May all members received an update from the Rotary Zone 8 Regionalisation Pilot Project Team Co-chairs Ingrid Waugh (NZ/Oceania) and Peter Frueh (Australia) advising of a Rotary Regionalisation pilot project.

Rotary Melbourne has been advised by Ken Badenoch's family that his funeral will be held on Friday 24 June @ 2.30pm at White Lady Funerals, 339 Warrigal Road, Burwood. Rotary Melbourne were delighted to have three representatives from the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) at the Sustainability Lunch on Thursday 2 June.
MITS (Melbourne Indigenous Transition School) has shared their latest newsletter here. Edward Tudor, Executive Director, mentions that 'In recent months we’ve all reflected on how good it is to be returning to life as normal: the friends, the events, the milestones and the connections. Over the past few weeks at MITS this return to normal has been particularly profound, as we’ve celebrated Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Dreamtime at the ‘G and Reconciliation Week.'

Rotary Melbourne launched its first annual ‘World Environment Day’ on June 2nd with partners City of Melbourne, and Sofitel Melbourne on Collins with all the profits from the lunch going to SecondBite.
This spring ESRAG Oceania launched a Carbon Calculator for Clubs in Australia and New Zealand to use to calculate their carbon emissions from meetings, events and projects.
