Sad news.
Colin Bennett, Sir John Monash's grandson and Michael Bennett’s father passed away on 23 February. You may remember his wonderful articles in The Age where he was film critic for some 25 years.
I met him at the unveiling of Monash statue in 2015. A quiet, gentle and sincere man who was chuffed by the statue. I guess he inherited some traits from his grandfather as indeed does Michael.
A celebration of John COLIN Monash Bennett’s life will be held at White Lady Brighton Chapel on Friday 18 March commencing at 2:30pm.
