The first Melbourne Rotary Club meeting for the 2024 calendar year was held volunteering at RIMERN on Wednesday 24thJanuary.
Launch Housing is pleased to share that residents are now settling into their new homes at Bellfield, our 58-apartment social housing block nestled in the growing north-eastern suburb.
Rotary Melbourne welcomed and inducted Irena Bauer on 13 December 2023 with the classification Health Care Services. Originally Irena joined Kardinia Rotary club in 2020 and in 2022 moved to Melbourne and joined Canterbury Rotary club.

Rotary International President-elect Stephanie Urchick announced the 2024-25 theme, The Magic of Rotary, at the International Assembly on 8 January.
On Wednesday 17th January 2024, President Chris, Peter Addison (Chair Int. Programmes Committee) and PP Chris hosted Ryusuke Yokoyama a member of Rotary Melbourne's sister Club Osaka Rotary. Ryusuke is President and CEO of the Osaka Stock Exchange.
Clubs will be notified via email of their Rotary Community Groups (RCGs) in February, hold their first meeting in March, then elect their Rotary Community Leaders (RCLs) in April.
Robert, Sue & Reg, had a good Second Bite 🍎🥦🥖 collection on Sunday 14 January 2024, both in terms of quantity and quality. We had boxes of fruit and vegetables, flowers, deli items, sweet treats and lots of bread. It filled up Reg's station wagon. We then dropped the collection at the Salvation Army the following day due to key staff being on annual leave.
This January (Vocational Service Month), Rotary Melbourne hosted an international business study group from the University of Houston - Downtown with a series of vocational workshops and presentations from our members about business, logistics and commercial challenges in Australia.
